This position will be responsible for performing major repairs and routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities within or outside the plant to maintain optimal up time of production equipment and upkeep of the facility. May perform wiring, plumbing, electrical/mechanical maintenance repair and installation. May do simple set up operation of machinery/equipment. May be on call to perform emergency maintenance on equipment or facility issues.
Must have working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, solid state systems, PLC systems, and a mechanical aptitude. Worker must be able to use advance trade math with complicated drawings; use precision measuring instruments, NC/CNC equipment, PC and specific software involving technical skill’s knowledge; equivalent to apprentice training or two-year technical degree. Must complete and retain powered industrial equipment certification to include industrial forklift and aerial platform. Ability to work independently.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job: prolonged physical exertion, including standing, lifting of over 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas. May be exposed to temperatures that can cause marked bodily discomfort. Exposure to noise, temperatures that can cause marked bodily discomfort, moving mechanical parts, oils, chemicals and atmospheric conditions associated with the manufacturing environment.
