Emerson is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader. This position is responsible for development and deployment of a comprehensive Perfect Execution strategy for the facility. This position will be a cross functional leader to develop and assist department leads in elimination of non-value add and waste. This will include managing perfect execution projects, leading kaizen events, conducting employee training, implementing lean design principles, developing standard work, and executing the overall 5S strategy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field from four-year college or university with specific training in lean manufacturing preferred. MBA preferred
5 – 7 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience in product and process improvement programs. This experience requires the leadership of kaizen events, use of lean & six sigma techniques.
Ability to inspire and lead change in a group setting. Ability to analyze and interpret data; Expertise in engineering field generally associated with equivalent of four-year technical degree; Knowledge of manufacturing processes (ISO 9000 elements, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kanban programs, 5S systems, and similar manufacturing initiatives); Public speaking/presentation abilities along with established leadership and interpersonal skills; Computer expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, etc.
