Community Education, a not-for-profit organization, is seeking a self-starting, motivated person to assume the duties of Enrichment Coordinator.
This full-time position coordinates all adult class offerings from determining what types of classes are offered, locating instructors to teach those classes, arranging with schools and community organizations for class locations, creating and designing the printed class catalog, working closely with the catalog printer and the newspaper for the catalog, maintaining the class listings on the Community Education website, some posting of class information and photos on social media, and more.
In addition, the person closely works with Hand Up, Hand Back, a workforce development program geared to refugee and immigrants. This program is funded by United Way of Southern Kentucky, so successful grant writing and the ability to partner with several other agencies and organizations is key to this responsibility.
As with most non-profit organizations, each staff member is expected to assist in areas outside his or her normal job duties. Examples include working the many community events sponsored by Community Education such as the Summer Activities Fair, Family Prom, Stand for Children Day, Blockbusters at the Ballpark, and more.
Must be dependable, flexible, nurturing, have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and good written and oral communication skills.
Some evening and occasional weekend work is required.
