Requires reading and writing, addition and subtraction of whole numbers to maintain paperwork, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain quality. Strong self-initiative/ judgement to plan; use of fixed gauges or instruments; part prints interpretation is required.
Operator must be able to understand process control plans and production schedules press operation equipment limitations to maintain press in operating conditions to produce to rate with quality parts.
Use of and ability to obtain and maintain forklift, and overhead crane certification. Good communication skills to relay information to other operators and supervision.

Worker exposed to a range of temperatures to cause body discomfort. Worker exposed to sufficient noise level requiring hearing protection. Proximity to moving mechanical parts.
